[Erina will find an email attachment of all the types of fish (and crustaceans, and other edible sea-things) Rin's been able to catch; it is quite extensive. Rin's also taken the time to briefly list which ones he's tried to cook, and what they taste like -- certainly not to the extent that a gourmet chef might describe it, but rudimentary descriptions like "white fish" "bitter fish" etc. the entire document is basically a very orderly excel sheet; what a huge loser]

i've been compiling a similar list for herbs, but it's on one of the computers in the labs and wasn't really made with cooking in mind, apart from seeing whats safe and what isn't. i can pass that data on to you if you want, though.

This is quite impressive, albeit a little lacking to what I'm used to. However for someone who's not as familiar of the culinary arts the attempt was made and for that I applaud you.

Herbs are quite important for certain dishes so yes, if you're able to send that I would be happy to look that over as well.

i know it sucks being here, but it must be pretty exciting for you, in a sense. all these brand new ingredients... you're literally making dishes no one's ever heard of japan. hell, earth, even.

These are the only skills that I'm able to provide, unfortunately, so in order to be of some help I'll do what I can. And I suppose it is... nice to see people try something new. Even though it's hard to believe that some people here have never had a burger or something more common like ramen or pasta.

what's the weirdest dish you've made since you've been here? that was still up to your standards.

Weirdest? I don't think I've made anything that's too strange.
An acquaintance back home is more likely to purposely experiment on dishes that one would describe as odd.

Are you familiar with Jake English? I was able to make him ravioli dish not too long ago, something he's never ate before.

really? you haven't tried cooking using the alien wildlife yet? or the alien plants. i guess the farms were pretty set up by the time you got here... i definitely ate a lot of weird stuff my first month or so.

yeah, jake and i are friends. he hasn't had a ton of culinary experiences.

i made him his first burrito, but i bet you could do a better one.

I wouldn't know where to start. I'm all for experimenting but at the same time I can't fail.

Jake English is a very kind boy, at first I didn't believe him but he comes across as an honest person and the look on his face proved he wasn't a liar.

jake can't lie even when he should. he's a totally embarrassing, really nice guy.

my burrito was more than edible, it was pretty damn good. i learned how to cook when i was pretty young, for my sister, and cooked even more for myself once i got on diets for swimming.
